Recognizing the value of a quality internship, our mission
is to help your child find an internship and have an
incredible out-of-the classroom learning opportunity. An
internship is one of the most rewarding and educational
experiences a student can have during college.
Why Internships
First-Hand Experience
Internships enable students to get first hand experience
with a company and industry of their career interests. As an
intern, students are responsible for real assignments and
many are similar to the work of a full-time employee. While
exploring an industry, whether accounting or zoology,
students make key industry contacts and gain an intimate
understanding of different career paths.
Gain Self-Confidence
It is proven over and over again that students with
internship experience are more self-confident and
comfortable in the workplace than students without
internship experience. Internships are the perfect time to
make mistakes, learn from mentors, and feel more comfortable
in a professional setting.
Explore Career Options
Internships are a great way to explore different careers
that students are interested in pursuing. Rather than simply
studying it, an internship allows students to see what its
really like and enables them to narrow or expand their
potential career paths.

Internships can open up tons of doors. From their boss to
clients they work with, an internship will help your child

In addition to the actual internship experience, internships
are excellent for job networking and can oftentimes lead to
job offers. Some companies extend their interns full-time
job offers. Many previous interns are able to use contacts
established during their internships to help them find job
opportunities. Lastly, more and more companies are expecting
recent graduates that apply for full-time work to have at
